Welcome to the Janusz Korczak Association of Canada

The Janusz Korczak Association of Canada (JKAC) envisions a world in which children realize their well-being and human rights as valued and equal members of society.

We are open to all who care about the well-being of the children and youth of this city, province, and country. It is our mandate to support the human rights of all children, and to foster recognition of Janusz Korczak’s humanism and sacrifice.

We strive to teach others about Dr. Korczak, who devoted his life to establishing and defining the rights of the child and whose ideas were adopted by the United Nations in “The Convention on the Rights of the Child” in 1989.
